Ollie was born with severe pulmonic stenosis—a heart condition that made life a little harder for such a tiny pup.
He couldn't always keep up. He was different. And before he found his forever family, he spent a lot of time watching from the sidelines.
But Ollie's little heart had other plans. 💛

Inspired by Ollie’s real journey, this children’s picture book tells a story of courage, friendship, and belonging—and discovering that being different doesn’t mean being less.
It’s for the child who hangs back while everyone else joins in. The one who’s shy, needs a little more time, or finds it harder to keep up.
My hope is that a child listening to Ollie’s story might think, “He feels like I do.” And that another child might think, “Maybe I can be someone’s friend.”💛

Our calm and wise senior gentleman. He prefers peace, quiet, and letting the youngsters handle the nonsense.
Sunny
Our confident adventure captain. She's pretty sure she's in charge. We haven't told her otherwise.

Sweet face, fluffy tail, plenty of opinions. She'll let you know if your plans need adjusting.

The littlest member, with a mighty heart and a face that makes getting anything done rather difficult.

Hi, I'm Jenny—the human behind the paws.
I never planned on writing a children's book. Then Ollie came along.
The Wagging Four stories grew from four very real rescue dogs—their quirks, their challenges, their friendships, and everything they've taught me about courage, kindness, and loving someone exactly as they are.
Ollie's Mighty Little Heart is the first of those stories. I'm painting and building it one page at a time.
